서귀포는 아름다운 도시이다. 비취빛 바다와 그림같은 범섬, 문섬, 섶섬이 있고 폭포가 있다. 옛날부터 서귀포 70리 해안으로 널리 알려진 해안 절경이 있고 감귤을 비롯한 각종 열매가 천혜의 자연속에서 영글어 간다.
◆ 서귀포에서 드라이브 하기에는
비석거리→소정방(小正房)→정방폭포→부두→천지연폭포→라이온스호텔→3호광장→서귀포 문예회관→프린스호텔→외돌개→삼매봉→시내 코스가 가장 좋다.

소정방, 정방폭포 쪽은 낮에는 한번쯤 차에서 내려 둘러보는 게 좋으며 야간에 또한 어슴프레 보이는 섬들과 고깃배 불빛이 아름다운 조화를 이루기도 한다.
부두,천지연으로 이어지는 쪽은 야간드라이브의 멋이 일품이며 그밖에의 지역은 여휴있게 드라이브를할 수 있다. 또한 삼매봉을 나와서 서쪽으로 가면 중문 관광 단지와 농원들이 있으므로 시간적인 여휴가 있다면 그 쪽도 들를 만한 곳이다.
